ABORTION

The first House Meeting of 2011 will be on the topic of Abortion. Following the recent European Court ruling that Ireland needs to implement legislation to protect the mother's constitutional right to an abortion if her life is in danger and the subsequent call for a  referendum by Mr. William Binchy this topic has been thrown into the media limelight once again. On Monday January 17th you will get the chance to have your say with the Philosoph. Profeesor Binchy himself will be joining us to tell us why he is against abortion but still thinks a referendum should be held on the issue. Senator Ronan Mullen will also be speaking in opposition to abortion. Always a controversial issue this debate should kick start a brilliant year.

There will be  asocial in the SU Common Room afterwards.

Speaker Development will be back on Tuesday January 18th at 19.00, meeting outside the Kane. They be a welcome back treat afterwards too!
